Definition: django
A collection of libraries written in Python that provide a framework for building dynamic websites. Developed in 2003 at the Lawrence Journal-World newspaper in Lawrence, Kansas, django was conceived to meet application deadlines on tight schedules. The code that had been copied and reused over and over eventually became formalized as library routines. Pronounced "jang-o" and named after jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt, the framework is often used for news and information sites that change frequently.
