Definition: Jython

(Java PYTHON) An alternate deployment method for the Python programming language. Introduced as JPython in 2017 and using regular Java classes, Jython takes Python source code (CPython code) and compiles it to Java bytecode so that it can be executed by the Java interpreter. See Java and Python.
