A music streaming service from Google. Introduced in 2011, Google Play Music was replaced by YouTube Music in 2020, which had already been a part of the service. Google Play Music stored titles purchased from Google Play and up to 100,000 user-owned songs, all of which could be streamed or downloaded. The user's computer was scanned, and titles that matched those in Google's collection were identified. Non-matching titles were uploaded to Google. The ad-free, premium service featured 40 million songs and provided downloads for off-line playback. See
