A system-on-chip (SoC) family from Samsung that is a continuation of its ARM-based SoCs introduced in 2000 and previously named with S3C, S5L and S5P prefixes. Used in various handheld devices from Samsung and other vendors, the Exynos brand was introduced in 2010 and has been offered in single, dual, quad and octa-core models, the latter used in the Galaxy S4.
