Ethernet Plugs
Ethernet cables look like telephone cables only with slightly larger plugs and sockets. The plug on the right has a metal shield, and the wires have a metallic sheathing to eliminate interference in vulnerable locations. The boot keeps the tab from snapping off when the cable is fished through conduits and cabinets. (Images courtesy of Computer Cable Store.)
