S) The integration and close relationship between the developers of applications and the people who test and deploy them. DevOps is said to be the intersection of software engineering, quality assurance and operations. It focuses on improving collaboration among teams.
Although the ideas of combining development with operations emerged in the late 1980s, the term was coined in Ghent, Belgium in 2009 when the first DevOpsDays conference provided discussions on agile software development and related subjects. More than 400 DevOpsDays events have taken place around the world ever since. See
