(2) A 486 with a clock-tripled CPU. Clock tripling tripled the internal speed of the CPU without requiring any changes in the chip's external connections. DX4s came in 75 MHz and 100 MHz versions that accessed RAM at 25 MHz and 33 MHz respectively. See DX2 and iCOMP.
