Definition: DC-2000

The generic name for the original quarter-inch QIC Minicartridge format in the 1980s. Subsequent to the DC-2000, the QIC-Wide, QIC-EX and Travan varieties were introduced; however, QIC tapes faded into history after the turn of the century. See QIC.
