Crypto.com made headlines in 2021 when it agreed to pay $700 million to acquire 20-year naming rights to the nearly one-million square foot Staples Center stadium in Los Angeles. Staples Center, which opened in 1999, is the home of the Lakers and Clippers basketball teams.
