Definition: Computex Taipei


A Taiwanese trade show for PC manufacturers and PC component buyers. Founded in 1980, it is sponsored annually by the Taipei Computer Association. With 130,000 attendees from the U.S., Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and mainland China, the 2005 show broke records and put the exhibition into the ranks of IT industry shows CeBIT and COMDEX, the latter having closed by then. In 2010, Computex Taipei had 120,000 attendees. See trade shows.
