An ARM-based CPU from Microsoft. Introduced at Microsoft's November 2023 developer conference, Cobalt is a 64-bit ARM processor with 128 cores that uses less power than x86-based chips.

Microsoft offers cloud computing services under the Azure brand, and its own CPU and AI chips can be put to work in tens of thousands of Azure servers instead of Intel and NVIDIA chips. See ARM, Microsoft AI chips and Microsoft Azure.
