Definition: ClearCase

A software configuration management (SCM) system for client/server environments from IBM. It supports all the major Unix platforms as well as Windows. Originally developed by Pure Atria, ClearCase was acquired by Rational Software in 1997, which was acquired by IBM In 2003.
