Definition: Certified Ethical Hacker


The certification of an individual who passes a test in computer security. The Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) looks for vulnerabilities in the network and computer systems by employing the same skills that a malicious hacker uses. The CEH is administered by the EC-Council Group, which also provides certifications in forensic investigation, incident handling, penetration testing and more. See computer security.
