Definition: Broadband Facts

A label describing the speed and prices of the plans offered by an Internet service provider (ISP). The Broadband Facts label was created to provide a uniform comparison of offerings.

Mandated by the FCC, the Broadband Facts label is also called a "Broadband Nutrition Label" because it was modeled after the FDA labels on food. Large ISPs with more than 100,000 customers were required to have the label completed and made public by April 2024. Smaller ISPs were given an additional six months. See ISP and broadband.
