Definition: crypto ETP

(crypto Exchange Traded Product) There are more than a hundred crypto ETPs and ETFs. An ETP is a category of investment vehicle that is generally backed by an asset such as gold, a commodity or a crypto token. For example, the Fidelity Physical Bitcoin (FBTC) and 21Shares Bitcoin (ABTC) are crypto ETPs. An ETP is a broad category that includes ETFs (exchange traded funds); however, although an ETF is typically a stock fund, many crypto ETPs are identified as crypto ETFs.
