Definition: Amazon Dash


(1) For Amazon's in-store shopping, see Amazon Dash Cart.

(2) Virtual or physical buttons from Amazon that initiate an order to Amazon.com. Introduced in 2015 as part of the Amazon Prime membership and designed to make replenishing common household items easier, Dash buttons are programmed by the user to order a product. A number of staples including soap, paper products, diapers and soft drinks were selected for the initial service.
