An online store from Amazon for downloading free and paid apps for its Android-based Fire devices. Amazon's Android OS is a different version of Google's Android OS. See

Both the Appstore and Amazon's first Android tablet, the Kindle Fire, were launched in 2011. Debuting with over four thousand apps and games, within a year, more than 400,000 titles were available on the Appstore.
For Amazon Devices Only
Until August 2025, users with Google Android devices could download apps from the Amazon store; however, it required downloading Google support software and changing settings. After August, only Amazon Fire devices are able to use the Amazon Appstore.
