Definition: Alienware

A subsidiary of Dell that makes a line of gaming desktop and laptop PCs. Debuting in 1996 as Saikai of Miami, Inc., Michael Dell, who was part of the original founding, acquired the company in 2006. Alienware PCs have high-end CPUs and GPUs, advanced cooling systems, large amounts of memory and storage and a high-wattage power supply. They also typically run faster than regular PCs (see overclock). See gaming PC.

Alpha Console
In 2014, the Windows-based Alpha video game console was introduced to compete with the Xbox and PlayStation. The line was not popular and was discontinued within a couple years.
