Definition: Alexagate

A cover for Amazon Echo devices from MSCHF that prevents them from "listening." Alexagate jams the Echo's microphone with ultrasound pulses until people clap three times or tap the unit three times. Alexagate works on the Echo cylinder devices and Echo Dot.

MSCHF (pronounced "mischief") is a Brooklyn-based company that advertises all sorts of unusual products including "Jesus Shoes," which are Nike sneakers filled with holy water from the River Jordan. See Amazon Echo.
