Definition: ASIC farm

A group of cryptocurrency mining machines. A single entity can deploy an ASIC farm comprising any number, even thousands, of mining machines to derive revenue for adding blocks of transactions to a blockchain such as Bitcoin. However, mining pools deploy ASIC farms, which enable anyone with only a modest investment to participate in the mining process (see pool mining). See miner hardware, crypto mining and GPU farm.
