Definition: 5D camera

A broadcast TV camera that shoots 2D and 3D video simultaneously. Canadian film director James Cameron champions the need for 5D cameras in order to promote 3D content, which is more economical to capture when the 3D format is recorded at the same time as 2D. The Cameron Pace Group features its Shadow Vision technology, which places a 3D camera on top of a 2D camera.
