Definition: VRAM


(Video RAM) A generic term for memory on a graphics card. vRAM is dual-ported memory used for the frame buffer. While data are being sent to the screen, VRAM enables new data to be simultaneously written into memory. GDDR is the actual memory type that implements VRAM (see GDDR). See graphics card.
