Redirected from: meta-learning model

Definition: meta-learning

AI model development that is adaptable to new situations much faster than traditional AI methods. Instead of being trained on hundreds of thousands of like objects, the meta-learning model is trained on smaller amounts of different examples. A meta-learning model is said to "learn how to learn."

Also called "few-shot learning," the model develops a strategy and blueprint the same as a person who has learned Spanish and Portuguese will learn Italian much faster than having no language proficiency. See AI model.
