Definition: TGP

(Total Graphics Power) Measured in watts, TGP is the maximum amount of electrical power a GPU can consume. The higher the TGP, the faster the GPU can run. Of course, more wattage means more heat and electricity.

TGP is used for graphics as well as AI processing in desktop and laptop computers. However, in an AI datacenter, thermal design power (TDP) or Max Power Consumption are more commonly used to measure the total electrical load. See GPU and TDP.
