Definition: storewidth


Coined by George Gilder, it is the response time between entering a request on the Web and getting back the first page. Storewidth is the combination of bandwidth in all the various channels between the user and the Web server as well as the latency in all the routers, switches, caching systems and other nodes that can affect delivery time.
