(Small Office/Home Office) The small business. SOHO refers to companies with only a handful of employees, often just one or two. Over the years, computers and the Internet have leveled the playing field for small business and even the mom and pop shop, giving them access to research, information and functionality that was never possible prior to the 1990s.
