An earlier series of wireless LAN products from Proxim, Inc., San Jose, CA. RangeLAN2 used Proxim's OpenAir protocol and provided 1.6 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. RangeLAN2 cards operated in a Symphony home system. RangeLAN802 were 802.11-compliant products at low speeds. See
