Definition: GeForce

A family of popular graphics processing units (GPUs) from NVIDIA that is widely used as the primary component in graphics cards (display adapters) both from NVIDIA and third-party vendors. GeForce chips were introduced in 1999, and PC vendors also feature GeForce graphics in their desktop and laptop computers. If a third party promotes the GeForce logo, it means that the GPU came from NVIDIA, not necessarily all the circuits on the card. See display adapter and NVIDIA.

GeForce Graphics Card
This RTX 4090 AERO card from Gigabyte is a high-end graphics card that gamers use in their Windows PCs. The three fans keep the card cool because gamers are always pushing their PCs to the limits, and it gets pretty hot inside the case. (Image courtesy of GIGA-BYTE Technology Company Ltd.)
