Definition: All Things Digital


An earlier and highly respected news website for technology. Founded in 2007 by Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg, All Things Digital was a subsidiary of Dow Jones & Company. At the end of 2013, the site was dissolved, and Swisher and Mossberg left to form their own news publication (see Re/code).




For More Than 40 Years
In 2001, Walt Mossberg was the first tech writer to receive the Loeb award for commentary. He was a reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal from 1970 to 2013, and his 1995 book was a collection of memorable stories from his Personal Technology column. Mossberg retired in 2017.
