A programming language that enhanced and superseded the A language. Originally a derivative of APL, A was created at the Morgan Stanley financial services firm in the mid-1980s to run under SunOS. In the late-1980s, A+ added a graphical interface, and in the early 1990s, a RISC version of the language was created known as K. K7 added support for Unicode. See APL, RISC and Unicode.
